ATB, "Aide Technique Bénévole" (Voluntary Technical Support) a 1901 association, established in 1984, works in Africa, for the creation of small artisan activities and the take in charge by the individual of his own work. It works in the Rhône-Alpes region with different communication looking to promote the organic and fair trade products consumption.

The BIO EQUITABLE terms of reference constitutes in the Fair Trade ideal the first example of a text put together like a real referential (and not only a well behavior charter), with an independent control, according to the control pattern for organic products. The BIO EQUITABLE association is equipped with a strict control system for its brand in collaboration with ECOCERT. A control and certification organism accepted by the public power, ECOCERT guarantees by an annual control, done on the production, transformation and distribution zone, the respect of the production, transformation and commercialization conditions of eligible products of the BIO EQUITABLE brand.

Obtaining the brand is conditioned by the acceptation of a double control, the one according to the current regulation in organic agriculture, and the one according to the BIO EQUITABLE referential.
